Waddesdon C of E Secondary School: developing learning resources through the Creative and Media Diploma
On Tuesday 2nd Feb 2010 two advisers from TVPS and Emily from Creative Junction ran a workshop on HIV/AIDS education for young people going out to Cape Town with their teachers on 10th Feb. One of the aims of this session was to help students to develop skills in peer mentoring and awareness raising in their own community. One of the advisers has been HIV+ for the past 27 years and his own personal experience inspired and motivated the group. This was the same colleague who contributed to Finding Voices, the film and Citizenship resource compiled by young people in Slough and South Africa in 2005, with Direct Digital Pictures. Details of these amazing learning materials can be found on the Creative Junction website: www.creativejunction.org.uk/finding-voices
