Cape Town Visit 2010

Dear Diary Extract: Tuesday 16th Feb

Today was our second day at school, there was meant to be athletics training for their sports day,  but it was dismissed because it was raining. This was the first time during the two weeks that it rained during the day. First I observed relaxation exercises with Miss Greenhouse, everyone was giving each other massages to help relieve stress. I then went and sat in geography, where everyone designed their own settlements and were colouring. I then went and helped put up posters in the grade 12 classes to help bring colour and life to their classrooms. Just before lunch we all helped Miss Holland in her class as they were making masks for the future performance. It was a lot of fun but a leaner wanted my mask I made so I gave it to him. They really did show their creativity skills in this lessons as all the mask were beautiful. At lunch we had lunch with the head master of the school. After lunch, I observed Miss Holland doing drama and was surprised that one of the learners was so eager to volunteer and perform. Also Miss Greenhouse’s aerobic lesson and they all took part but seemed like they were all really enjoying themselves.
