welcome
The partnership was formed in 1995 between St Bernard’s School in Slough and the Education Twinning Project set up by Canon Collins Educational Trust for Southern Africa. The aim was to run an educational partnership within which young people in Slough and Cape Town could develop mutual awareness and understanding of their social, political and cultural contexts.

“For me the most important thing about this project is that it is a growing partnership in which assumptions can be challenged, teaching practice can be exchanged and cultural values can be shared.” (Rachel Betts)

“If we can work together, we can do more.” (South African Learner)

“The most important thing that we like about the website of the Hlanganani project is that the project is going to grow big and many people are going to be able to join and it’s going to be known all over the world by rich, poor, big or small and most importantly by those who want to learn and educate.” (Shirley Lumko and Emmanuel Nkosiphondule Ntsamba)
